During my Ph.D. (with Prof. Huub de Groot) at Ledien University, Netherlands, we developed a novel methodology to solve the supramolecular structure of the molecule used in artificial photosynthesis using solid-state NMR, electron nano crystallography and quantum mechanical modelling. The work was a part of ’biosolar cell consortium’, which is one of the first artificial solar fuel cell projects in Europe. During my stay at Ames Laboratory, Iowa, USA (with Dr. Aaron J. Rossini), my focus was to use the state of the art Dynamic Nuclear Polarisation (DNP)-SSNMR to understand the mechanism of an industrially relevant heterogeneous catalyst. At Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel (with Dr. Michal Leskes), I was involved in the development of DNP methodology to understand the solid electrolyte used in the battery and how the disorder of a system affects the DNP mechanism. And in the future we want to use solid-state NMR with other complementary techniques to do novel chemistry associated with energy crisis.

Assisted in the solid state NMR course for bachelor students at Leiden University, Netherlands
Worked as undergraduate course assistant for biochemistry laboratory course in Leiden University. This involves carrying out examination and evaluation duties assigned by the Ledien Institute of Chemistry, Ledien University,Netherlands.
Mentoring Experience
During my third year of Ph.D. I was involved in training three bachelors students with their final project at Leiden Univeristy. In the final year of Ph.D. I worked closely with the first year PhD Student Zhongwu Sun to train him in SSNMR experiments. During my Postdoc stay at Weizmann Institute of Science, I am involved in guiding a master student Chen Openheimer with the masters project. I am also part of training young PhD students with the theory of NMR, basic NMR experiments, EPR, and DFT calculation aspects of their project.
